Info
Brief instructions for use for Lynxera® microtome blade modelsManufacturer:
Lutz GmbH & Co. KG, Piepersberg 20, 42653 Solingen, Germany
We are a German blade manufacturer and have been producing blades for the highest cutting requirements for over 100 years.
Intended use:
The microtome blades from LUTZ from Solingen serve as cutting tools in microtomes or cryostats for the production of thin sections in preparation for histological examinations. They are therefore cutting tool accessories for medical devices and are subject to and comply with EU regulations for In-Vitro Diagnostics IVD.
Instructions for use:
Blades are cutting tools and have a sharp cutting edge. Please handle the blades — like other cutting tools — with appropriate care. The blade dispenser provides you with the blades individually by operating the slider.

The sequence of pictograms shows you the removal
Carefully insert the blades into the microtome and avoid contact between the blade edge and the microtome’s structural components. We recommend using hand and eye protection when using the blades. However, this is not a requirement for you. Act with caution — as with other cutting tools. Please ensure that the blade dispenser is stored dry before and during use.
Instructions for disposal:
The blades are still sharp even after use. Please dispose of the blades properly in the “Used Blades” disposal container on the underside of the dispenser or in a suitable disposal container in your laboratory equipment.

The sequence of pictograms shows you the process of blade disposal in the “Used Blades” container.
