When it comes to consistently precise cuts with a utility knife, snap-off blades are the cost-effective solution for drywall installers, painters and finishers, roofers, and DIY enthusiasts. Depending on the model, snap-off blades are available with or without notches. On models with precisely defined notches, individual blade segments can always be snapped off cleanly. This ensures a consistently sharp cutting edge—with minimal interruption to the work process—without the need to change tools.
LUTZ snap-off blades are available in widths of 9.1 mm, 17.17 mm, and 25 mm.
LUTZ BLADES offers snap-off blades in four distinct product variants:
- LUTZ EXPERIENCE®, made of carbon steel. The universal solution for maximum versatility.
- LUTZ LONGLIFE® made of carbon steel with a TiN-coated cutting edge for long-term cutting applications.
- LUTZ MULTISHARP®: the black carbon steel blade for exceptionally precise, clean, and extra-sharp cuts,
- HIGH PERFORMANCE – the black high-performance carbon steel blade with a titanium nitride coating. It combines extreme sharpness with exceptional durability.
The snap-off blade range is complemented by practical dispenser and packaging systems featuring various safety and dispensing solutions. These protect the blade and its delicate cutting edge during transport and enable controlled, safe removal.

LUTZ blades are high-precision cutting tools that place special demands on transport and handling throughout the entire supply chain – from the manufacturer to the specialist retailer to the end user. For this reason, LUTZ BLADES has developed a range of dispenser and packaging systems that reliably fulfill several key functions.
Since we develop and manufacture our dispenser systems ourselves, we can respond flexibly and specifically to individual customer requirements. All systems are optimally tailored to the respective blade types and areas of application.
