For more than 100 years, the LUTZ family, the founders of LUTZ BLADES, have concentrated on the manufacture of blades. Together with their employees, they have developed and produced countless blade types over the years – for hundreds of customers from a wide range of industries.
In the course of this time, invaluable know-how about production processes, materials, coatings and grinding patterns has been accumulated, which today puts LUTZ BLADES in a position to manufacture special blades for demanding applications. The development of a blade is never a spontaneous action. Each new product is planned for years with unbridled meticulousness and our own standards of quality, design and cost-effectiveness until it is finally ready for the market.
It was precisely with this approach in mind that the “microtome blade” project for laboratory use was launched many years ago. Thousands of hours of development later, LUTZ BLADES was able to present the new “LYNXERA®” microtome blade family to the global public at MEDICA/COMPAMED 2023 in Düsseldorf last November.
A special product – a special appearance
What was special about this product this time, however, was not just the outstanding quality, but also the modern, independent communication concept of the new blade. From the naming to the packaging design, from the company’s own website to the representative trade fair stand: the microtome blade “LYNXERA® by LUTZ” impresses with its special cutting quality and its consistent appearance. In addition, a special sample kit has been developed for testing this blade, which contains all three current microtome blade variants: LYNXERA® LN35 – the Durable, LYNXERA® LA35 – the Sharp and LYNXERA® LS35 – the Universal.
