The foil blade-0710 from LUTZ BLADES is made of stainless carbon steel. It is coated with diamond-like carbon. This coating offers high wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction of around 0.1 against the reference material steel. Although DLC is very resistant, it can be susceptible to impact loads and high temperatures, although the safe operating range is between 100 and 300 °C, depending on the structure. The DLC coating gives the blade outstanding cutting performance and durability.
